Jack, I'll talk Tom into feeling you up, if you send that FJ40 my way. When we were shopping for an FJC, we came across an FJ40 for sale in New York I think. It was very nice, and it was hard but ultimately I needed something a little more reliable. When the kids is a little older and some bills are payed off I think we might look at trying to find a 40.

Yeah the FJ40 is not the comfort cruising beast that the FJC is... It's also not the off-roader that the FJC is... But... It has more style in it's front bumper than the FJC has in the whole damn thing...

Really? I've heard numerous times over that the FJ40 is overall a more efficient off roader. Now to be more specific, I've heard that they each have their strong points, but at the end of the day, a 40 will get you farther.

Yours looks very nice. Is it fully restored? Any mods?

Yeah yeah yeah... I don't know... It all depends on what you're talking about... a stock 40 next to a stock FJC? I'd take the FJC... That said, the inline 6 is indestructible and the basic design of the 40 makes it universally hailed as bullet-proof...

Mine is fully restored... a lot of guys go a lot of different directions in restorations... I wanted to go Factory... So that's what I did... She's as factory as I could get... All down to the last nut and bolt... Well.... Aside from a very tasteful OME 3" lift with Pro Comp Front and Rear Shocks and 33" BFG Mud Terrains... I just think she looks happy with that stance and those sneakers... The way she should've come... Just like our FJC's should've come with 285/75-16's and an inch or two more height.. I've got boat loads of information on that build but as this is not an FJ-40 Forum, I'll keep it to myself.. Feel free to ask any questions that you like...
