Loud squealing sound

This is a discussion on Loud squealing sound within the Mechanical Problems and Questions Forum forums, part of the FJ Cruiser General Discussion category!
This sound seems to be coming from the main fan on the motor. However it doesn't affect performance..yet. Any ideas ...

Maybe a Rock or something in the bearings?
I did take through some really high water,I'm pretty sure that's what started it..

could be a bearing or even as simple as the belt itself...i try to avoid deep water for this and a host of other potential problems.....

if a belt is slipping it will definitely make one heck of a loud squealing noise. you can check belts yourself by having a look and seeing if they're cracked, worn, chipped, loose, etc.
